Voice recording applications serve a variety of roles and can be beneficial to people from many walks of life. Whether you are taking notes from a business meeting or a writer who is merely scribbling down some thoughts from a brief flash of inspiration, the applications on this list will undoubtedly assist you.

What is iTalk Recorder?

iTalk Recorder is full-featured recording software with a simple and user-friendly interface. To record, push the big red button once; to stop, press it again. With a single fingertip, you may add to current recordings, select from three levels of recording quality (11.025, 22.05, or 44.10 kHz sampling rates), and manage your recordings.

The recording screen in iTalk Recorder is basic and easy. After selecting a recording quality—Good, Better, or Best—you press the big, red Press To Record button. (You may name the recording before or after you record it.) The button transforms into a big green Recording button that indicates the current recording time; below that is a visual level meter, as well as text indicating the date and time the recording began, the recording quality, and a live-updated indicator of the recording’s file size.

The list view of iTalk Recorder displays all of your saved recordings in alphabetical order. Each entry provides the recording’s date and time, as well as its size and duration. A tiny (in my opinion, too little) play button allows you to listen to the recording using headphones or the player’s speaker. Tapping the arrow button on a recording displays more information about the file, allows you to rename the file, and allows you to make notes about them.

FAQ

Can I record phone calls using the iTalk App?

No, it does not. The iTalk app makes use of the iPhone’s built-in microphone. Because this microphone is unable to detect the other end of the phone conversation, the iTalk application is unable to record phone conversations.

How long can I keep my recordings?

Your recordings’ duration is only limited by two factors: disk space and recording quality.

An hour-long recording will require 75MB if the recording quality is set to Good, 150MB if the quality is set to Better, and 300MB if the quality is set to Best.

To put it another way, a gigabyte will keep 800 minutes if your recording quality is set to Good, 400 minutes if it is set to Better, and 200 minutes if it is set to Best.

Can I email my iTalk recordings directly?

You certainly can! You may send recordings immediately from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iTalk Lite and iTalk Premium.

You may email recordings up to 2 MB in size with iTalk Lite. You may email up to 5MB from your iPad, iPad 2, iPad 3, and iPad 4th generation, as well as iPod touch, and up to 20MB from your iPhone 4/4S, 6/6 Plus, with iTalk Premium. You may send recordings up to 10 MB in size with the iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, and iPhone 5C.

Simply press the blue info icon (the I with the circle around it) to the right of the recording’s title to email it. Then, from the Recording Information page, press the red arrow icon in the upper right corner and select Email Recording.
